Curriculum - NAPLAN

Students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 sit for the National Assessment Program Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) test in May. The assessments are an opportunity for students to demonstrate what they have learned in class.

Teachers use these results to meet the individual literacy and numeracy needs of all students. There are four tests covering numeracy, reading, writing and language conventions (spelling, punctuation and grammar).

Results are sent home to parents in early September. We encourage parents to talk to their child’s teacher if they have any concerns regarding NAPLAN results.

More information for parents can be found on the NAPLAN Parent/Carer Support Site or in the 2018 Information for Parents and Carers pamphlet
