Curriculum - NAPLAN
Students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 sit for the National Assessment Program Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) test in May. The assessments are an opportunity for students to demonstrate what they have learned in class.
Teachers use these results to meet the individual literacy and numeracy needs of all students. There are four tests covering numeracy, reading, writing and language conventions (spelling, punctuation and grammar).
Results are sent home to parents in early September. We encourage parents to talk to their child’s teacher if they have ant concerns regarding any NAPLAN results.
