Thank you to all parents, staff and students for a successful week of celebrating public education.
The events across the week at Harrington St Public School included an open classroom morning which was exceptionally well attended with over 200 parents visiting classrooms and 50 parents contributing to the follow up feedback session on the importance of ‘Writing through quality talk’. The feedback from parents was overwhelmingly positive and it is clear that the teaching and learning in classrooms across K-6 is equipping our students with the skills and capabilities they need to lead and flourish in tomorrow’s world!
The week concluded with NAIDOC celebrations across P-6 with activities ranging from Snake Tails through to talks on native flora and fauna. Every student was given a native plant to take home donated by Fairfield City Council as well as the remaining plants being planted across the school!
Education Week was a great way to showcase great teaching and learning practice across the school community. Thank you to all involved in organising a great week filled with wonderful educational opportunities.
